A one-man workshop, Tansukan is rooted in artistic expression and craftsmanship, not mass-production. Tansu may take weeks or months to complete and may require even more time when made of rare woods.

Every chest is traditionally crafted using a mixture of traditional and exotic woods from around the world.

Like their antique counterparts, Tansukan chests represent a wide range of shapes, sizes, and purposes, each with its own artistic influence.

Every tansu is a unique piece whether commissioned by its owner or created for the Tansukan Collection.
