Commissioning a Tansu
Occasionally Tansukan will produce chests available for purchase, which will be noted as such in the portfolio, but tansu are as unique as the people who own them and commissioning a piece guarantees the best match for your wants and needs.
Tansukan generally receives two types of commissions. The first is from collectors who are familiar with tansu and their history and know exactly what they are looking for. The second is from the new tansu enthusiast that has been taken in by the beauty of these chests but may not know where to begin. Whether you are a seasoned collector or just looking for a unique keepsake Tansukan can create a chest to fit your needs.
